Mr. Anson Lee Brewer,Sr., 76 of Lufkin, Texas, passed from this life in the early morning hours of March 11, 2010, in Lufkin, Texas.

 

A native of San Augustine County, Texas, he was born to Jeannie Lee (Key) Brewer and William Smith Brewer on August 24, 1933. He served in the U.S. Army, and was retired from Lufkin Telephone Exchange. He was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church in Lufkin, Texas.

 

Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine, interment will follow in the Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Geneva, Texas.

 

His survivors include: Sons: Anson Brewer and his wife, Fonda Kay of San Augustine; Gary Brewer of San Augustine; Wesley Glenn Brewer of Etoile; Daughters: Brenda Goss and her husband, Malcolm of San Augustine; Grandchildren: Courtney Brewer, Chastidy and Charles Goodwin, Dana and Eric Long, Vince and Michele Brewer, David Scott Brewer, and Candance Lee; Great-Grandchildren: Danielle Goodwin, Chase Goodwin, Kristen Long, Ashlyn Long, Logan Scott Brewer, Alyssa Fay Brewer and Taylor Lee; Sisters: Bonnie Berry and her husband, Lary of Lufkin, Carol Davis of Lufkin, Elizabeth (Liz) Ware and her husband, Leon of San Augustine and Shirley Cole of DeRidder, Louisiana.

 

Visitation will be Friday evening, March 12th, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home from the hours of 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., 316 West Columbia St., San Augustine.
