Revival at San Augustine Missionary Baptist Church

The San Augustine Missionary Baptist Church will hold a revival September 15 - 17, 2010.  Bro. Steve Phillips will be bringing the service nightly at 7:00 pm. Bro. Phillips is our new pastor and we invite everyone to come and meet him and his family and enjoy an evening of worship.

Music will be lead by Steven Phillips.  Refreshments will follow Friday night's service.

We are located at the intersections of Highways 96 and 147.

Henry Golden Boy Raffle 

A Henry Golden Boy .22 mag rifle is being raffled off to benefit Dougie Durbin offset medical bills and prescription drugs as a result of his liver transplant. 

Tickets are $1 each and may be purchased at East Texas Guns in Hemphill, Pineland Pharmacy, Randy’s Drive In Grocery and the Big Tin Barn in Pineland. 

The drawing will take place on September 15.

Meeting to adopt tax rate. Meeting is 3 to 14 days after second public hearing.  Taxing unit must adopt tax rate by Sept. 29 or 60 days after receiving certified appraisal roll, whichever is later.

*Tex. Tax Code § 1.06 directs that if a date falls on a weekend, the deadline is extended to the following Monday. The deadline for submitting appraisal records is May 15, which in 2010 falls on a Saturday. The deadline to certify the tax rolls is July 25, which in 2010 falls on a Sunday.

**Advice of taxing unit legal counsel should be sought to determine which approach to take in notifying the public of the meeting at which the governing body will vote on the tax rate.

Sheriff to Sell 162 Tracts of Land at Auction September 7

 

Sabine County Sheriff Tom Maddox will auction 162 pieces of property for delinquent taxes on September 7.  The sale will take place on the north steps of the Sabine County Courthouse beginning at 10:00AM.

 

Of the 162 properties, 140 are located in Pendleton Harbor Subdivision located on Toledo Bend Reservoir and Highway 21.
