Sale on the Trail May 7 & 8

The El Camino Real Caddo Region Trail Partners and the San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the second annual Sale on the Trail on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8 on the historic San Augustine Courthouse Square.

The Sale on the Trail is a 200-mile long garage sale to promote the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail, also known as Highway 21, from Natchitoches Louisiana to Crockett Texas.

Local citizens are encouraged to being now to plan for the giant garage sale that will take place.  During the 2009 event, many local residents held garage sales along Highway 21 in San Augustine and Sabine Counties.  In addition to garage sales, some vendors provided food for the traveling shoppers and local businesses were open to welcome visitors.

Local businesses in San Augustine will have special promotions and sales throughout the event.

Booth spaces around the San Augustine Courthouse Square will be available.  A 10X10 booth is $25 while a food booth is $50.

Everyone from throughout the region is invited to “Shop till you Drop” and enjoy the incredible beauty of the El Camino Real de los Tejas, America’s newest National Historic Trail and discover fun, food and treasures galore.

Rain or shine, always the first Friday and Saturday in May.
