Hungry for Breakfast?  Mary Kay’s Country Diner is now serving Breakfast 7 days a week 6 - 9am.  Your breakfast is cooked to order and the endless cup of coffee is only 50¢ . Saturday - Thursday 11am - 2pm and Friday 11am - 9pm. Friday night we have All You Can Eat fried Catfish and 8oz Ribeye specials. Our home cooked meal on the steam table is open Sunday - Friday 11am - 2pm and menu items are always available. Come see us at 806 Hwy 96N in San Augustine.

Students Attend Academic Rodeo

These Hemphill High School students participated in the East Texas State Fair Academic Rodeo held in Tyler, Texas recently.  The winners of Web Page Design were 1st Place – Brandy Craft and 3nd Place Drew White.  Digital Video winners were 1st Place Team Matt Marshall & Andrew Morgan.  Computer Science Programming contest winners were 1st Place Team –KaNeshia Buckley & Drew Woods and 2nd Place Team –  Allanah Austin & Luke Hall.  The Art Contest winners were 1st Place 11th grade, Matt Marshall and 1st Place 12th grade, Ibeth Valerio.  In the writing contest 1st place 9th grade was Danielle Eddings.  In the science division Megan Strickland won 3rd place in biological sciences, certificate of recognition for innovative solutions for important issues went to Charlye Hebert in environmental sciences; certificate of recognition for unique idea went to Jeremy Marshall.  Megan Strickland also won a $1500 scholarship at the awards program held February 19th in Tyler, Texas.   

Sandra Butler sponsored the computer events & the writing event.  Annette Yates sponsored the students in the art event.  Randy Smith sponsored the science events.
