Old Dog Uno and Catfish Friday

The Pickin Palace will be featuring Scott McGill and his Old Dog Uno act on Friday night for a guaranteed toe tapping good time as he returns for his encore engagement.

Bringing his unique style of classic hits to Hemphill, Old Dog Uno, better known as Scott McGill, will certainly be playing to another full house on Friday, February 12.

Playing from Houston to Houma, McGill has been cited in numerous reviews for his stylistic guitar and moving vocals in a laid-back style. 

His solo act comes to the Pickin’ Place as another chance for locals to enjoy a unique vocalist and guitar player as he performs classic hits from three different genres.

McGill has made a name for himself playing his high-energy, entertaining music throughout Texas, Louisiana and the South, and is an excellent example of Texas influence in blues, classic country and rock.

He may be more familiar to people around the Golden Triangle area when he performs with his Scott McGill Band, or formerly the Scott McGill and Old Dog Mac Band.

McGill and his band has opened for the classic rock band ZZ Top.

Doors open 6:00PM and the entertainment will begin at 7:00PM at this entertaining BYOB event.  Delicious catfish dinners next door at The Feed Store Cafe will be available from 5:00PM until 9:00PM.  There is a nominal $5 cover charge.

The Pickin’ Palace is located just off the historic square in Hemphill Texas.
