One Broaddus Man Killed, Another Injured in Nacogdoches Wreck

Two Broaddus men driving separate vehicles were involved in a fatal wreck at approximately 6:00PM Thursday.

According to reports, 22 year old Chantz Parker of Broaddus was westbound in a Chevrolet pickup on Highway 21 in Nacogdoches when he attempted to pass another vehicle near the intersection with Highway 7.

Parker then lost control of the pickup, veered into the eastbound lane and struck a Nissan pickup driven by Jason Scott, age 20 of Broaddus.

Scott was finally removed from the vehicle using the jaws of life and transported to Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches, where he died.

Parker was treated and released for injuries at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
